Here's the synopsis. Zezu posted a feedback thread for Courage 96. William Morgan said it sucked shit, which led to some postage (Which it always does... Morgan is the KING of cheap message board heat), and then after some legitimate feedback, Zezu posted again, this time saying his desire to take back the mantle of "best angle fed" from LoC for ACW. Then the dick-waving really starts, with sniping going back and forth on both sides.
Now, for my take. In bullet format.
- Firstly, no one should ever take what William Morgan has to say seriously. Ever. The only trolls that are more obvious are those ones with the freaky hair from the 90s. You know, the wishin' trolls? Seriously, he says stuff to get a rise out of people. It's not like when Bobby Nickens (Unoriginal Name) offers his criticisms, which are valid, in my opinion.
- Zezu has a definite right to feel what he's feeling, especially in the way he put it across. I thought he showed great tact towards LoC, and if you're a fedhead, you should want to be the best, and you should want to have a healthy, friendly competition with other feds like you. I mean, back in the day, when A1E and MBE were going full-swing, even though we shared a few handlers, there was still friendly competition. A1E and MBE were always trying to be the best fed on A1, and no one really harbored any enmity longterm. I think that's the case here. Zezu and Dan McDevitt (too many Dans in e-fedding!) seem to take these things in stride. The fact that guys like Cimon and Kyle escalated it so quickly just shows that we still have a long way to go before we can realize that it doesn't matter who puts out the "best" work, just as long as we all put out work that we're happy with.
Speaking of putting out...
- A lot of the criticisms that have been following around ACW have some weight. I mean, I know I gave them Fed of the Quarter Year, but since then, they (more like we since I am part of it and have been part of the problem) have had problems getting the last two Courages out. There's been a good bit of turmoil, and Mike Dupin, Mike Renner and Butch Rosser have all left the fed as a result. Now, we've gotten in some new guys who are promising, including Bryan, who handles Kyle Lamen in PRIME and is handling Kenichi Kazuyo, and Nikko, who's handling handling the Britton Brothers. It's all a matter of coordination and timing and letting things settle in.
Honestly, I think ACW has the potential to remain one of the top feds in all the e-fed universe. As long as we still have Devin Woods, Seth Silviera, Cimon and Roland as the backbone, we'll always have solid, interesting writing.

Odds and Ends
Happy 150th post! w00t~!
- Superstar Vince Jacobs is back and he's in LoC. Huge, huge coup for Dan's fed. Once again, this proves that e-fed retirements are almost never permanent, which bodes well for those of us holding out for the return of Gregg Gethard.
- Jeff Bolichowski resigned as MCW fedhead. I'm not surprised by this, but I'm very glad he decided to keep the fed open in different hands rather than close it. In case you don't know, Karl Brown and Josh Ray have taken control. I like that combination a lot. Karl's been around MCW in its previous incarnation, and Josh has a great exuberance and enthusiasm that any fedhead should have.
- Not suprisingly, the number of folks I have so far for the ToC are concentrated from a few feds. Surprisingly, those feds aren't the usual suspects. Well, one of them hails from a fed you could call usual; EPW has sent all three of its current Champions, which is a virtual 100% compliance, given that Jarret's on hiatus and thusly won't be entering Beast (although I'm sure he would if he had the time... Jarret's always been a big supporter of projects like these). But the other three... well, I'm surprised, but it's a pleasant surprise. First up in the queue is PRIME, a fed that's sending four of its eligible superstars (Vangelus Olsig, Danny Ferguson, Kyle Lamen, Karina Wolfenden). To get a turnout such as that from a fed as prestigious as PRIME... I'm flattered. Next up is another PTC fed sending four, FUSE. They're sending Mikael Lundgard, John Covel, Tigera and Damien Cruz. Finally, there's NAPW, who's really responded to this tournament, sending D!, Devastation, Bayman Jakey and Ravager. Now, that's not to say other feds haven't stepped up. The CSWA and AWC have both sent two, as has ACW. And we have a smattering of guys signing up from odd feds too. So right now, I do have the cross-pollenation I wanted. I'm very pleased so far, and hopefully, the RPing and judging will go off like I want them too.

More shows
Quite the busy week for e-fedding as two more feds came out with new shows today.
LVW Viva Las New Year's 2006 was posted early, early this morning. By the admission of Paul and Mike, this was a throwaway card, and it showed. But it's a must-read because of the introduction of some new characters, including Ben Lerner and my favorite, Olvir Arsvinnar, the porn star viking. In an unrelated note, he may be my new favorite character.
EPW Aggression 22 was posted today. Not as much stuff going on as last time, but you also have to realize that EPW is holding Onslaught cards, which cuts into the matches on Aggression. Still, there was a lot of stuff on the show, and it's a good read.
Finally, LoC posted a new edition of Violence. Last week's show was tremendous. This week... well it was alright, but like Ryan Aston said on EWN, it was a step backwards. I thought the Scott Riktor segment where he announced the Williams/Duzza match was a bit anti-climactic and lacked some aura, and the end of the Sylo made suspension of disbelief a little hard. Still though, there was some good stuff on the show, and hopefully, they can deliver with the PPV.
I know this seems like the results shilling blog right now, but I'm going through a bbit of a busy-spell e-fedding wise. I do have a commentary lined up, plus I want to look at XUW's Deadly Draw a little in depth.

Quick hits
-Legacy of Champions is finally open after a lot of planning and waiting. If you're into angle feds, check this out. I'll be keeping my eye on them, if only to help get myself used to and comfortable with reading narrative style.
-Controversy in A1E... and in other news, the sky is blue. This time, we had an incident where the DC Scripts style of threading caused a little flap between Andrew Gilkison and Mr. Incredible. Long story short, Andy posted a promo, and then both Mr. I and AJ Cirrus replied directly to Andy, AJ having replied first, so his promo was the one continuing the line. Andy, instead of following the thread as it progressed (replying to Chip Friendly, who replied to AJ), replied both to Chip and to Mr. I's chain-breaking promo, albeit he had different focuses in both. Next thing you know, Mr. I is complaining about it in public and had the promo in reply to him removed, stirring debate.
My take? One, Mr. I shouldn't have bitched in public for one. Even if he had a point, you don't air beefs like that in public and start firestorms, especially when you're apparently trying to get things turned in your favor. But I don't think he had a point. Andy technically may have double-dipped, but really, it should be okay seeing that he was replying to two different people after the chain was disrupted. I know on FW feds, there's no problem like this because EVERY reply is in order and you can view everyone's replies when you do reply (God bless vBulletin like that), but on DC Scripts, it's a lot easier to do it piecemeal in multi-man matches.
The concern is though... what do you do in multi-man matches like that? Easy. You kee the chain going. If you and someone else promo somewhat simultaneously, then the person whose reply went up last should cut and paste their promo and do it in reply to the other person.
-Still waiting on the NFW West show. Looking forward to it, mostly because when that goes up, we get our first taste of interconference matchups. I'm very intrigued who's gonna be paired up with whom, and I'm especially waiting on Maggs' opponent, seeing that my original foe, Angelo Deville, is dropping out :(. It's a damn shame though, because Deville's been one of my favorite characters to read in the last three West shows (preseason included).
