RRoaEL's first ever Town Hall Roundtable

I told Devin today that this blog was "all-purpose," and in an attempt to live up to that, I'm going to start a new and hopefully recurring feature, the Town Hall Roundtable. Basically, it's going to be the transcript of an AIM chat with a who's who of the e-fedding world. We chat in an AIM room, and then I transcribe it and post it here in a palatable form.

The first Random Ramblings Town Hall Roundtable's topic will be titled Stolen Bandwidth, Stolen Creativity: Alcaeus and Plagiarism in E-Wrestling. I have three panelists tenatively lined up. They are as follows:

Jon Katz (NFW fedhead, handles Craig Miles among others)
Lindz (handles Lindsay Troy in PRIME among other feds)
Pierre Hyde (AWC fedhead, formerly the handler of Tim Shipley)

Of course, the above panelists' appearances at the Roundtable are dependant on scheduling.

Anyway, I'd like to get a few more people involved, preferably from this list:

- A forum admin at PTC
- A non-fedhead member of a PTC fed
- HSW's fedhead
- A handler who has been the victim of plagiarism

If you fit any one of those descriptions, then feel free to contact me either by comment on here, or by AIM or e-mail. Also, please send me your availability both during the weekdays or weekends. Try to keep in mind that I won't necessarily be available to do this on a weekend, so if you're good to go on a weekday after 3 PM Eastern Daylight Time (which is *I think* four hours behind GMT), then you should have no problems fitting in. Anytime before 3 PM on a weekday is no good for me, unless it's on a holiday.

Remember that roundtable discussions are civil. If you volunteer to be a part of this first panel, then be forewarned that you should keep a calm demeanor with the other panelists, and be sure to keep an open mind about other people's viewpoints. The goal of a roundtable is to encourage discussion among civilized human beings with differing viewpoints.

Might want to try Jay Phoneix for that victim roll. He did lose to stolen roleplays in the finals of GTT1. He would have been the first winner and first Global Champion had it not been for stealing rps. He post on PTC and is the fedhead of UWF.

I'll be willing to play victim.

I'll be available tomorrow from, like, 4:30 on...give or take. I'd like to say I'll generally be available around that time all week.

And oh, I'm the one who lost the IG title to Alcaeus.

I'd be willing to participate in a roundtable discussion if you don't have a non-fedhead member of a PTC fed.

In addition to plagiarism in e-feds, I have an English Degree!

I think the causes of Plagerism are the most important here and I hope they're looked at in depth. From my point of view, it's the same people who are calling for life bans who have some input.

A number of the PTC superior efedders act like complete dicks to lower cards, looking down at them with an air of arrogance. A plagarist is simply someone who out of frustration wants to join this circle through their achievements, and this is seen as more important than writing their own work and having fun.

Anyway, punishment of course. But time to look at the reasons it recurs because bans haven't proved an effective deterant. If you want me in Tom, i'm available for victim (though not the best example) or a non-fedhead member.

Degree, shma-gree! How many of you have ever ran around butt-ass naked in Saddam's hometown?

25 years old and all of this valuable life experience under my belt. :)

Just don't ask me to understand what's wrong with an RP... hell, without my English degree I can't even write an RP. I have to have somebody else do it...

PS. I heard that in Rhode Island it's against the law to operate a motor vehicle without your driver's license, registration, proof of insurance, and of course your English degree!

Stanton is clearly the scum of the earth.

Which is why there are so many terrible drivers in this state. The heathens thought a non-liberal arts degree was more useful. HA!

(as I'm unemployed and trying to find a job. yay. :p)
